We all are aware of different and difficult scenarios. With these current dangerous circumstances, we must protect ourselves, defend ourselves and our loved ones. Self-defense styles such as boxing and jiu jitsu are considered to be great, effective and practical ways of self-defense in the present day scenario. Jiu Jitsu is a martial art that even law enforcement officers use. It is all about taking control of resisting opponents in ways that will force them to submit. Women will be able to overcome opponents of greater size and strength using leverage control, grips and positions, etc. Throughout the program, participants will gain a deeper understanding regarding limits of the human body, providing knowledge that can be used to subdue and control an opponent.
As a self-defense system, it relies on simple, instinctive body movements rather than rigid techniques requiring years of training. It is easy to learn and retain, can be performed naturally and intuitively and as a result, men and women are currently moving in to use the self-defense techniques effectively.
IMPORTANCE OF SELF DEFENSE PROGRAM:
Before my brand became The Beast Within, it was Pain Into Power when it first started 2 years ago. I left my abusive relationship for over 7 years now and fitness was a huge factor in what got my mind right. Physical activity means you are constantly working on yourself with health and wellness tied in. Many domestic violence survivors suffer from PTSD and often, I would be looking over my shoulder wondering what would happen if I ran into the man who abused me. What if he tried to hurt me? What would I do if I found myself in a similar situation? Will other men try to harm me? How do I take my power back? I was living in fear, I always felt like I was in danger and someone wanted to hurt me but ever since learning a few tactics and getting used to the motions after several classes, I am more confident now and I really do feel safer because I know I have a better chance at protecting myself which is so important and does wonders for a woman’s mindset. We have a better chance at surviving.
Immediate concerns: many women do not know how to properly defend themselves in the event that they are attacked
Immediate goal: beyond the obvious advantage involved in knowing basic physical defense, women become more confident in their abilities and considerably more empowered.
PROJECTIONS - FUTURE ENDEAVORS:
Based upon learning and development in the branch of self-defense for a little over 2 years, it has truly endowed me with the responsibility to indulge into further research and development in this field. I thrive to share as much knowledge regarding self defense to women nationwide via in person training and online camps with the help of various trainers.
Women have to confront or battle threats which have unique characteristics
Women have a different physique from men and are inferior in terms of strength Culturally, men and women are still treated differently, which breed a certain mentality in both of them.
Self defense encapsulates all these differences and places special importance in dissolving the mental disparities.
Women have 2 main threats: Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment.
How to prevent, avoid, escape, and evade situations of conflict
